A Huge Success!

Yesterday was the fourth annual Earth Day Event at Iron Horse Winery.  Ted Turner was the guest speaker for the day with proceeds from the event going to his Captain Planet Foundation.  Maxfield Arts hosted a gallery exhibit in an old horse corral.  Many of the large contraptions from the Handcar Regatta were present and well photographed by the guests!  Here’s a link from the paper today;  Iron Horse Winery Earth Day

Nice bit in the news

The Press Democrat just wrote a nice bit about the Event in the paper yesterday.  Well, perhaps not really about the event, but about Ty and myself.  We haven’t really let the press talk about us as much as we’ve tried to keep the focus on the event itself.

Santa Rosa City Art Walk 2011

Maxfield Arts, working with the Alliance for Contemporary Art, wrote the winning proposal for the city of Santa Rosa’s 2011 Civic Art Walk.  Lisa Archambeau and Spring Maxfield will be curating the next round of sculpture for the downtown Santa Rosa area.

We have chosen three large sculptures to be placed in Courthouse Square. Installation will take place next summer. We’ll keep you updated as things unfold.
